71-97406 Controls for Oil-Fired Heating - Honeywell

customer.honeywell.com

Gun burners are the most common in residential oil heating. The gun burner uses a fuel pump to deliver oil under pressure (up to 150 psi) to a precision-made nozzle. At the nozzle, the oil is broken into a fine, cone-shaped mist. A blower driven by the burner motor directs a turbulent airstream into the oil mist as it leaves the nozzle.
