Additional special issues may also be produced. No page charges are required from the authors (the Open Access option requires payment of an article processing fee: see below). animal attracts the best research in animal biology and animal systems from across the spectrum of the agricultural, biomedical, and environmental sciences; it is the central element in a collaboration between the British Society of animal Science (BSAS), the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA) and the European Federation for animal Science (EAAP) and represents the merger in 2006 of three scientific journals: animal Science; animal Research; Reproduction, Nutrition, Development.
