Addicts with substantial clean time also need a sponsor. Old-timers often find that while many expectations are placed upon us, often our own needs are ignored and unfulfilled. Because recovery is an ongoing process, sponsorship also needs to remain an ongoing process. Here is the shared experience of one addict who has more than 20 years clean.
