Certified Nursing Facility (NF): A facility or part of a facility which is licensed to provide nursing care for persons who are unable to care for themselves properly. Demand Bill: A claim sent to Medicare that the resident s family or other interested party requests to receive a decision from Medicare regarding the status of a claim.
