CHAPTER 9FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMSSECTION provisions of this CHAPTER shall specify wherefire PROTECTION systemsare required and shall apply to thedesign, installation, inspection, operation, testing and mainte-nance of allfire PROTECTION Construction code officialshallhave the authority to requireconstruction documentsand cal-culations for allfire PROTECTION systemsand to require permitsbe issued for the installation, rehabilitation or modification ofanyfire PROTECTION documentsforfireprotection systemsshall be submitted for review and approvalprior to system Statement of requesting finalapproval of the installation, where required by thefire codeofficial, the installing contractor shall furnish a writtenstatement to thefire code officialthat the subjectfire protec-tion systemhas been installed in accordance withapprovedplans and has been tested in accordance with the manufac-turer s specifications and the appropriate installation stan-dard.
