ENGINE TROUBLESHOOTINGFOREWORD (w) When the customer reports a vehicle malfunction, check the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) indication and diagnostic trouble code (DTC), then diagnose the malfunction according to the following flowchart: If a DTC exists, diagnose the applicable DTC inspection.
