Each arm of the ADF has the right to retire members on the grounds of Invalidity that is, physical or mental incapacity to perform their duties if they do not meet strict medical standards, even though they may be capable of civilian employment of a similar aims to give Invalidity retirees a benefit that reflects their incapacity for civilian employment.
