Describe the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations and updates that guide current influenza immunization practices3. Recognize appropriate influenza immunization-related recommendations for patients in special populations4.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to: 1.Describe 2017-2018 influenza season’s epidemiology and the 2017-2018 influenza vaccine’s efficacy 2.Describe influenza symptoms and potential complications 3.List the CDC criteria for antiviral drug use in individuals who have or are at risk for influenza infection
