Some highlights of the survey are: 1. Highlights of the macro economy Gross Domestic Product (GDP): The Central Statistics Office (CSO) has estimated the GDP growth to be in 2017-18 as compared to 7% in 2016-17. The average GDP growth rate from 2014-15 till 2017-18 is expected to be as compared to the average between 2014-15 and 2016-17. Gross Value Added (GVA): The GVA (at constant prices) is estimated at in 2017-18 as compared to in 2016-17. The agriculture and industry sectors are expected to grow at and respectively, while the service sector is estimated to grow at Inflation: The Consumer Price Index (CPI) based inflation was in 2017-18 (April- December).
