1 SFI DETAIL CODE 2 General information on use of SFI The SFI Code is an international classification standard used in shipping. The numbers consist of main components and sub component(s). In the example Ship control. The component 112 is the main component and 005 is the subcomponent. You can also have subcomponents of a subcomponent such as It is not recommended to have more then 3 levels of subcomponents, to make it easier to follow the component scheme. The main components are grouped under different categories. For example 112 Classification & Statuary fees & Certifcates main component, is grouped under 1 Ship General and 11 Insurance, fees, certificates, representation.
