It is one of the most popular languages used by statisticians, data analysts, researchers and marketers to retrieve, clean, analyze, visualize and present data. Due to its expressive syntax and easy-to-use interface, it has grown in popularity in recent years. R is a PROGRAMMING language and software environment for statistical analysis, graphics representation and reporting. R was created by Ross Ihaka and Robert Gentleman at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and is currently developed by the R DevelopmentCore Team.
