Todaydecontamination is an issue of public health importance because of concerns about preventing hospitalacquired infections (HAI) and minimising the theoretical risk of iatrogenic transmission of transmissiblespongiform encephalopathies (TSEs), especially variant Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease (vCJD).
