• Many trials have been published since 1995 and revision of UHS guidelines is long overdue. • A Drug Usage Evaluation (DUE) performed in May 2009 revealed only 53% of albumin use met the current usage criteria. It also showed that 70% of the albumin use was from three services: Medicine, Transplant & Cardiothoracic Surgery.
