Introduction Skilled Nursing care is a high level of care that can only be provided by trained and licensed professionals, like registered nurses (RNs), licensed professional nurses (LPNs), medical directors, and physical, occupational, and speech therapists. Skilled care is short-term and helps people get back on their feet after injury or illness. It is often given in a Skilled Nursing Facility .
