These components and supports are designed in accordance with the asme Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, Division 1 (Reference 1) and GDC 1, 2, 4, 14, and 15. Compliance with the GDC is described below: GDC 1 requires that structures, systems, and components (SSC) be designed to quality standards commensurate with the importance of the safety function that they perform.
