The HINDU laws inBangladesh, where most of the people are Muslims, are notreformed because of the politicization of religion while radicalchanges have been brought in India in response to the changingtrends of society, where the majority of the population is fact, it is difficult to bring reforms to laws affecting the majorityof the population of a country, it is impossible to do so in case ofminorities.
Hindu marriage. In Bangladesh the “Child Marriage Restraint Act, 1929” has been amended by Ordinance in 1989. So minimum ages of marriage are 21 for men and 18 for women.
