The handbook seeks to serve as a quick reference for Gram Panchayats (GP) and Village Water and Sanitation Committees (VWSC) on how to plan, implement, operate, maintain and manage water supplies and to ensure their sustainablity. The handbook is based on the National Rural Drinking Water Progam (NRDWP) guidelines.
