Solidtantalum capacitors are preferred for their high reliability,long life, extended shelf life, exceptional stability withtemperature and their small size.
The power (P) dissipated in the capacitor results in an elevation of temperature. The allowable temperature rise of a capacitor due to power dissipation is determined by experience. For example, this value is + 20 °C maximum for molded chip capacitors. This in turn limits the power that the capacitor can dissipate. VOLTAGE LIMITATION
