Overview The ACADEMIC MATHEMATICS Placement (AMP) is a diagnostic of basic skills in MATHEMATICS , administered by the CNAQ Testing Centre and designed by the math department in the School of General Educaiton. The AMP measures key areas of competence in specific core areas of MATHEMATICS covered in grade school. The AMP consists of 80 multiple-choice questions in 20 topic areas. Students have hours to complete the AMP. The AMP score determines the math course for which a student has the prerequisite knowledge to succeed.
