The Centers for medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recentlyapproved The joint commission s Final Revisions to require-ments related to the credentialing and privileging of telemedi-cine practitioners in hospitalsand critical access joint commission s initial Revisions , approved byCMS in response to its May 5, 2011, medicare Conditionsof Participation (CoP) Final rule, were published in theOctober 2011 issue of Perspectiveson pages 6 9. The revi-sions appear in the elements of performance (EPs) of theLeadership (LD) and Medical Staff (MS) Standards related tothe medicare CoP requirements.
