In case a phones output is to be used as line output, an adapter TRS plug to RCA phono plugs, or TRS plug to two TS plugs is required. The rear of the ADI-2 DAC has 2 RCA sockets as unbalanced outputs and 2 XLR sockets as balanced outputs, TOSLINK optical/coaxial input, a USB socket, and a lockable power socket.
