The first Alumina Technology Roadmap was published in November 2001, following an industry-wide workshop coordinated by AMIRA International. The workshop and the Roadmap publication, facili-tated by Energetics, Incorporated, USA, resulted from collaboration between the Aluminum Association Inc., Department of Energy, Office of Industrial Technologies (DOE/OIT), the Australian Department of Industry, Science and Resources and the nine Alumina companies directly involved.
