American Jersey Cattle Association Pedigree Conflicts from Genomic Testing: Sire Conflicts Issue Date: 8/25/2014. Test results identified a SIRE CONFLICT for the animals listed below. Common causes for disqualified sires are (1) the wrong Jersey is tested, (2) calves are switched at birth, or (3) dams are bred to different sires than intended and recorded. Jerseys with disqualified sires will not receive genomic PTAs nor be eligible to be transferred or to have progeny registered until the disqualification is cleared. If an alternative sire was discovered, he is reported in the column, Suggested Sire.
