Animal Adaptations Subject Science Overview Grade Students will learn how different animals have developed structural and behavioral Adaptations to survive. Students will work with a partner as 4th-8th they complete six stations about different Adaptations . This lesson can be used prior to your visit to the Museum of Natural and Cultural History. Time 45-60 minutes Objectives Students will: Materials Understand what adaptation is Station worksheets Pencils Understand what a structural adaptation is Pictures of animals with Understand what a behavioral adaptation is structural Adaptations Describe which Adaptations various animals developed Pictures of animals with behavioral Adaptations Labels: Vocabulary hibernate/migrate/hang out; behavioral/structural;. Adaptation: a change or the process of change by which an organism camouflage/mimicry becomes better suited to its environment Pictures of animals with Structural adaptation: a physical feature of an organism that has various Adaptations (see examples in lesson).
