mepc 68/21 ANNEX 1, page 1 Documents/English/ mepc (E).doc ANNEX 1 RESOLUTION (68) (adopted on 15 May 2015) 2015 GUIDELINES FOR EXHAUST GAS CLEANING SYSTEMS THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION COMMITTEE, RECALLING Article 38(a) of the Convention on the International Maritime Organization concerning the functions of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (the Committee) conferred upon it by international conventions for the prevention and control of marine pollution from ships, RECALLING ALSO that, at its fifty-eighth session, the Committee adopted, by RESOLUTION (58), a revised MARPOL ANNEX VI which significantly strengthens the emission limits for sulphur oxides (SOX), RECALLING FURTHER that, at its fifty-ninth session.
