GUIDELINEA ntibiotic prophylaxis for GI endoscopyThis is one of a series of statements discussing the use ofGI endoscopy in common clinical situations. The Stan-dards of Practice Committee of the American Society forGastrointestinal endoscopy (ASGE) prepared this docu-ment, and it updates a previously issued document onthis preparing this guideline, MEDLINE andPubMed databases were used to search for publicationsbetween January 1975 and December 2013 pertainingto this topic.
