I am a Trainee Educational Psychologist in the School of Psychology, Cardiff University. As part of my training I am carrying out a study looking at how students of Afro-Caribbean heritage, who have experienced behavioural difficulties in school, view difficulties in their school and their community and the resources (individual, relational, community and cultural) that help. I hope that this information will help suggest ways that schools can support their education. I am writing to ask if you would be willing to give permission for me to ask your son if he would like to take part in my research. This will involve interviewing your son in order to find out what he finds helpful in coping and keeping healthy.
