APPENDIX COCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY # 377437-v1 OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY GENERIC SPECIFICATIONS SCOPE This part of the specification has the objective to assist Principal Contractors entering into contracts with SANRAL that they comply with the OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH and Safety (OH&S) Act, No. 85 of 1993. Compliance with this document does not absolve the Principal Contractor from complying with minimum legal requirements and the Principal Contractor remains responsible for the HEALTH and safety of his employees and those of his Mandataries. Principal and other Contractors should therefore insist that this part of the Specification form part of any contract that he may have with other Contractors and/or Suppliers. This section covers the development of a HEALTH and safety specification that addresses all aspects of OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH and safety as affected by this contract.
