APPENDIX D MODEL EXPOSURE CONTROL PLAN
D-1 APPENDIX D MODEL EXPOSURE CONTROL PLANThe MODEL EXPOSURE CONTROL plan is intended to serve employers as an example EXPOSURE controlplan which is required by the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. A central component of therequirements of the standard is the development of an EXPOSURE CONTROL plan (ECP). The intent of this MODEL is to provide small employers with an easy-to-use format for developinga written EXPOSURE CONTROL plan . Each employer will need to adjust or adapt the MODEL for theirspecific information contained in this publication is not considered a substitute for the OSH Act orany provisions of OSHA standards. It provides general guidance on a particular standard-relatedtopic but should not be considered a definitive interpretation for compliance with OSHA requirements. The reader should consult the OSHA standard in its entirety for specificcompliance (Facility Name) is committed to providing a safe and healthful work environment forour entire staff.
