Clint Whitney Tyndale mailbox #95 1 Introduction The biblical passage to be interpreted in this PAPER is 1 Peter 4:12-19. This text has been given titles such as The First Epistle of Peter (NASB) or The First Letter of Peter (ESV), but most Bible translations refer to the text plainly as 1 Peter. The earliest Greek manuscripts bear the austere title of First Peter,1 and so shall it be in this study. In the interest of engaging in a valiant study, the King James Bible will be the reading I draw upon and shall form the basis of this exegesis on that translation.
