Australian Solicitors Conduct RulesCommenced 1 June 2012 Legal Profession ( Australian Solicitors Conduct Rules ) Notice 2012 Queensland Law Society | Ethics Centre | Australian Solicitors Conduct Rules 2012 Page 2 The Australian Solicitors Conduct Rules 2012 (the ASCR) provide a framework for ethical decision making about what we as Solicitors do adhering to the ASCR, we uphold the long-standing values of our profession and ensure the integrity of administration of justice for the community. The ASCR is intended to be the first national set of Conduct Rules for all Australian Solicitors . The Law Council of Australia and its constituent bodies, of which your Society is one, undertook extensive consultation to produce the current ASCR. I would like to acknowledge the extensive research and assistance rendered by the QLS Ethics Committee.
