awwa D-100 awwa D-100 Tanks are designed based on the allowable-stress design method. The purpose of this standard is to provide minimum requirements for the design, construction, inspection, and testing of new welded carbon steel storage tanks for the storage of water at atmospheric pressure. LIDE Industries shop fabricated, vertical, cylindrical, aboveground tanks are used for the storage of potable and non-potable water only. They are constructed from 1/4 minimum thickness carbon steel and have an awwa approved roof access and shell manway, vents and overflows. Exterior surfaces are sandblasted (SSPC-SP6 commercial), and finished per customer specifications.
