Angular contact ball bearings are single row bearings designed so that the line of contact between the balls and inner and outer ring pathways is at an angle to a line 90. o. to the bearing axis of rotation. The angle between the two lines is called the contact angle as indicated by the letter “a” on the top sketch of Figure 6.
