Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control plan Purpose To establish the requirements of an Exposure Control plan as defined in OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR and Cal OSHA s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard CCR Title 8, Section 5193. To establish requirements and work practices to Control routine occupational exposures to blood and other potentially infectious materials (OPIMs). Scope The requirements of this Exposure Control plan apply to district employees in job classifications which have routine job duties and tasks with reasonably anticipated occupational exposures to blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIMs).
