REP. RITTER M., 1st Dist. SEN. DUFF, 25th Dist. AN ACT CONCERNING police ACCOUNTABILITY. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. Subsection (a) of section 29-4 of the general statutes is 1 repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from 2 passage): 3 (a) On and after June 15, 2012, and until July 1, 2013, the 4 Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection shall 5 appoint and maintain a sufficient number of sworn state police 6 personnel to efficiently maintain the operation of the Division of State 7 police as determined by the commissioner in the commissioner's 8 judgment.
