To start with, there is the usual mystery and mystification about Bill Gates' name. He is sometimes listed as Bill Gates, Jr., and sometimes as Bill Gates III. Both are wrong, according the documents. His father, grandfather, and great-grandfather are all named William Henry Gates, which would make him Bill Gates IV.
