delay lines are set in a way that the output signals are in phase. I.e. the delay line output signals CLK R_D and CLK M_D arrive at the Flip Flop, shown in figure 2, at the same time. The control circuit includes an up/down counter which adjusts the sensing delay control value until the output is in phase to the reference clock CLK R_D.
