Carter Smith ~ Workshop ~ Shibori Perspective Dates: October 11th-14th / October 18th-21st $2, for 2 DAY Workshop ALL INCLUSIVE: FOOD TRANSPORTATION LODGING - SUPPLIES Workshops require a minimum of 3 to fill a Workshop and a maximum of 5. Once the workshops are filled they will be confirmed and participants will be notified. All workshops are held in Carters dye studio in Nahant, MA, a small scenic island surrounded by ocean. The location is peaceful and very beautiful with extensive walking trails and a large nature reserve. The price for the 2 day Workshop is $2, per person all inclusive. This includes pickup at Boston Logan Airport on Friday afternoon and drop-off back at Logan on Monday morning. Please let us know of any special food requirements/diet restrictions. Fabric supplies, aprons, gloves, tools, meals, and any handouts are provided. Participants should bring clothing that will not be ruined by dye splashes.
The workshops will cover instruction in discharge dyeing, layer dyeing, color setting methods, and pole wrap dyeing using an arashi shibori machine, possibly fold, twist, and some clamp dyeing techniques …
