O'Brien , Catherine ( Mahoney ).doc Catherine Mahoney O'Brien died at the Joe Scieszinski home in Wayne township, early Monday morning, Nov. 14. 1927, aged 83 years. Her death followed a stroke of paralysis a few days ago, although she had been poorly for a few years. She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick O'Brien . who died about eleven years ago. Three sons, Patrick, Joseph and Thomas also preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, J. J. of Ottumwa and Con of Weller; four daughters also survive, Mrs. Ella Smith, Mrs. Joe Scieszinski and Mrs. Frank Carr of Wayne township and Mrs. Catherine Falvey of Albia, also many other relatives and a host of friends. Mrs. O'Brien was one of the early settlers of this country and she was a friend to all. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Church, Weller Tuesday morning, Nov. 16, Requieum Mass being said by Rev.
