ALECTUREON THETYPICAL SABBATHSANDGREAT JUBILEEBY WILLIAM MILLER,OF LOW HAMPTON, NEW :PUBLISHED BY JOSHUA V. HIMES,14 Devonshire THE Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn. - ISAIAH ,2. THIS text is a prophecy of Isaiah, delivered by the prophet about seven hundred years before Christ was born, whom he personates in this remarkable manner; and was the first text used by our dear Savior when he began his public ministry in Nazareth, where he was brought up. He then read a part of our text, closed the book, and sat down.
