For this reason, the Federal Clean Water Act, 33 1251 et seq., and the pennsylvania Clean Streams Law, Act of June 22, 1937 ( 1987, No. 394) as amended 35 et seq. provide regulatory requirements for construction activities and the management of stormwater runoff generated by highways.
