Highway Surveying Manual Page 13-1 January 2005 Chapter 13 Control Survey Procedures13-01 GeneralControl surveys establish a common, consistent network of physical points that are the basis for controlling the horizontal and vertical positions of transportation improvement projects and facilities. If another agency is the primary sponsor of the densification survey be sure that the disks used are stamped with the notation “HPGN-D.”
