Chapter 3: Resistive Network Analysis Instructor Notes Chapter 3 presents the principal topics in the Analysis of Resistive (DC) circuits. The presentation of node voltage and mesh current Analysis is supported by several solved examples and drill exercises, with emphasis placed on developing consistent solution methods, and on reinforcing the use of a systematic approach. The aim of this style of presentation, which is perhaps more detailed than usual in a textbook written for a non-majors audience, is to develop good habits early on, with the hope that the orderly approach presented in Chapter 3 may facilitate the discussion of AC and transient Analysis in Chapters 4 and 5.
