The goal of the RAPs is to guide the interdisciplinary team through a structured comprehensive assessment of a resident s functional status. Functional status differs from medical or clinical status in that the whole of a person s life is reviewed with the intent of assisting that person to function at his or her highest practicable level of well-being.
