Methodological framework and data collection Introduction This Chapter begins with an outline of the Methodological framework used to direct the collection of data . The implementation of a variety of methodologies was a crucial part of achieving the objective of developing a scale-matched approach, where data from different disciplines can be integrated. Initially, Figure is described to illustrate how the results from different approaches used in the thesis may be integrated, and how these contrasting data sets may be used to assess a variety of key questions.
