Chapter 8 Information System Security Industrial Security Letter This is a special section of the Industrial Security Letter (ISL) dedicated to interpreting and clarifying the May 1, 2000 Chapter 8. The document compliments the Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID 6/3) "Protecting Sensitive Compartmented Information within Information Systems." The ISL provides industry with the DoD perspective on protecting classified Information while maintaining uniformity and consistency with established Department of Defense (DoD) policies.
