Charging System Warning LightThe Charging System Warning Light comes on when there is aproblem with the electrical Charging System or when the igni-tion switch is turned on with the engine not running. If the lightcomes on while driving, stop and check to see if the alternatorbelt is loose or broken. To check the belt tension, push on themiddle of the belt as shown; it should have 17 mm( in) deflection under a force of 98 N (22 lb).If the engine has been running, some engine componentsmay be hot enough to burn hands away from the radiator fan. The fan may startautomatically without Warning and run for up to 30 minutes,even after the engine is turned : If necessary, have the Charging System checked by anauthorized Acura Brake/Brake Failure Warning LightCheck the brake Warning Light every time you start the the parking brake set, the Warning Light should go onwhen the ignition switch is turned to II or III.
