This information is for those New Yorkers who currently have housing but might be at risk of losing it. This document is not meant to provide full details about the operation of the CityFHEPS program. What is CityFHEPS ? CityFHEPS is a rental assistance program to help individuals and families find and keep housing. It is administered by the Department of Social Services (DSS), which includes both the Department of Homeless Services (DHS) and the Human Resources Administration (HRA). Only DSS can determine your eligibility for the program. your eligibility is based on a number of factors.
