Note: The DGS–3400 series of switches have the capability to be configured for an IP address of 0.0.0.0, or, in essence, have no IP address. This function maybe used to disable Layer 3 functions of the Switch. When the IP address is set to 0.0.0.0 (invalid IP address), the Switch can only be managed through the console port or SIM.
