(To be published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) of dated the 6th January, 2011) COASTAL REGULATION ZONE NOTIFICATION MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND FORESTS (Department of Environment, Forests and Wildlife) (E).- WHEREAS a draft NOTIFICATION under sub-section (1) of section and clause (V) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 was issued inviting objections and suggestions for the declaration of COASTAL stretches as COASTAL REGULATION Zone and imposing restrictions on industries, operations and processes in the CRZ was published vide (E), dated 15th September, 2010.; AND WHEREAS, copies of the said Gazette were made available to the public on 15th September, 2010.; AND WHEREAS, the suggestions and objections received from the public have been considered by the Central Government.; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (v) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), the Central Government, with a view to ensure livelihood security to the fisher communities and other local communities, living in the COASTAL areas, to conserve and protect COASTAL stretches, its unique environment and its marine a
